Watching documentaries on inspiring designers and muses is a great way to stay motivated and creative. I recently re-watched a wonderful documentary ‘Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel.’ A very interesting and inspiring look into a woman who gave so much to the fashion world.
Diana Vreeland (1903-1989) was a famous character and editor in the field of fashion. She worked for magazines Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue. Later becoming a special consultant at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Her quotes on life are delightful ’“A little bad taste is like a nice splash of paprika. We all need a splash of bad taste—it’s hearty, it’s healthy, it’s physical. I think we could use more of it. No taste is what I’m against.”
